Bumplog: You know you're pregnant for the 2nd time when...
...your don't get to put your feet up. Ever.
...you go through your old maternity things and wonder how you ever got to be so big last time around (and quake at the thought of it happening all over again).
...you start wearing those same maternity things three months earlier than last time.
...people you don't know ask you when you're due and try to hide their shock that it's not sooner.
...your toddler bounces happily on your bump and you don't bat an eyelid.
...you look forward to going to bed with your maternity support pillow as much as your husband.
...you fight your toddler to get to the loo first.
...your toddler's Disney films make you sob into your maternity t-shirt.
...it's a race to see who will drop food on their belly first - you or your toddler.
...you ignore your Bounty pack.
...you start to fill in your baby book now because you know from experience there will be NO time later on.
...you ignore all the adverts for baby gadgets and focus on finding a storage solution big enough to hold a years supply of nappies that will last about a week.

All so very true!
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not the only one!
ReplyDelete9 months passes oh so quickly and you don't get worried/obsessed with every kick and movement.
ReplyDeleteYou just wait until you have 2 babies at home, it's truly mental :)
It's true, second time around I'm much calmer about the whole thing. Frankly there's not much time to think about it with a toddler in the house! And don't worry, I shall be coming to you for advice come November :D
ReplyDeleteThe fighting toddler to get to the loo first made me giggle...its just like that in this house x
ReplyDeleteNever get between a pregnant lady and a loo!
ReplyDeleteoh yes.... all so very true.... and when you just cut and paste your birth plan from last time as an after thought. As you know it's not going to matter when you get to the labor ward!!
ReplyDeleteHe he, that's a great addition to the list - you're so right!! Thanks for joining in :D
ReplyDeleteHahaha, been chuckling along to all these. So true. Hope you're well lovely x
ReplyDeleteSo true.....and I have to admit that I'm still working hard to get rid of all my "baby fat" so people don' t mistakenly assume that I'm pregnant again...
ReplyDeleteI know right? I'm doing great thanks my dear xx
ReplyDeleteThere will be something priceless when your toddler sees you maybe (?) breastfeed the baby and tries to do it with toys too - in public is always a hoot.
ReplyDeleteI'll be right there with you post November my dear! And I'll be www.bodyrock.tv - ing again as soon as I can - it worked for me!
ReplyDeleteOh good lord. Yep I will definitely be breastfeeding. Must try and discourage DD from trying to feed Thomas the Tank Engine though, she'll spill coal all over the carpet... :D
