Thanks again to the lovely Michelle at Mummy from the Heart for this great Friday series. I do have a tendency to dwell on the negative sometimes (not so much glass half full as 'where's my bl***dy' glass!') so it's refreshing to be able to post about something positive and uplifting.
Here's my 3 reasons to be cheerful today:
- DD seems to finally be over her sickness and back to her normal self. It was lovely having her dozing on me while I watched films, but I much prefer having her running around making mayhem. I know, I can't believe it either.
- One of the lovely staff at my local Starbucks, Jane, remembered DD by name and made such a fuss of her while I grabbed a coffee-to-go after playgroup. Great customer service never goes out of fashion and always makes me smile.
- Oh, and it was my birthday yesterday. I'm another year older... and I don't care!

So glad your DD is on the mend and HAPPY BIRTHDAY. You kept that one quiet. Hope you had a lovely day. Great post again!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! Some excellent reasons to be cheerful here.

Thank you kindly ladies for the birthday wishes and the kind comments! *waves*
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Glad I now know what you meant by BOD - here in Ireland that stands for Brian O'Driscoll (rugby legend) so I was very intrigued xx
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Great reasons to be cheerful! Bond eh? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Down Tiger!
ReplyDeleteGlad you DD is better and Happy Birthday
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday:) And yes, when children are sick it is such a relief to have them running around again and better:) Jen
ReplyDeleteLooking for Blue Sky - ha ha! Sorry, I know it's a bit obscure. DD watches the DVD every evening before her tea (or there's hell to pay!). Thanks for the birthday wishes x
ReplyDeleteMrs N - Thank you and hands off! He's mine! (Well actually it looks like he's Rachel Weisz's if you believe what you read...)
SuperLittleMen - Merci beaucoup!
@jencull - Thank you. You get what you wish for though eh? LOL.
Those are GREAT reasons!! Not sure about number 4 though...

Thank you kindly! Please tell me you're joking though *frowns*
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday. Just shows how important it is to get the right staff to work in public service. Glad she put a smile on your face
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Sheffy, welcome to BFT. You're so right about public service. Recognition and a smile, not a lot to ask, but makes the world of difference.
